Information Collection, Use and Sharing

We have access to collect information that you have voluntarily provided to us via email, online forms or other direct contact, such as your name, email address, home address and telephone number.

We will use your information to review the application, share it with the sponsors upon consent from you, deliver the services you have requested, maintain our records and to contact you regarding information about the Services, including updates and with your consent, new services.

Our services may contain links to other sites. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of any other site that collects personally identifiable information.

Data Retention

We retain your data for the following reasons:

  1. IndabaX Review process
  2. To analyse user statistics from prior events
  3. To contact you for the Indaba and future events. Of course you can opt to unsubscribe from such communications

Security

We use electronic and procedural safeguards to protect your information. The infrastructure has been hosted on Google cloud with access to only the administrators of the project.

We ensure that all the sensitive information sent to our servers is encrypted and transmitted in a secure way with the use of valid HTTPS certificates. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the web page.

We also ensure that all the communication between our services and you are authenticated via user authentication only.
